Expected Expenses
- UTSA Application fee: $100 (non refundable)
-Program fees: $2000
-Dormitory: $500 (double occupancy)
-OIP Study abroad fee: $225
-International travel insurance: $60
-Meal (approx. $400) & Airfare (approx. $1600)
are not included.

Payment Plan
Payment Plan Dates:
1) 1st Payment: $500 by November 3rd, 2023
2) 2nd Payment: $500 by December 1st, 2023
3) 3rd Payment: $500 by February 2nd, 2024
4) 4th Payment: $500 by March 8th, 2024
5) 5th Payment: $500 by April 5th, 2024
Scholarships
-
Gilman Scholarship: Up to $5,000 for a maximum of one academic year of undergraduate study abroad, with an additional $3,000 awarded to study a critical need language. Amounts will vary based on student’s rank in the selection process. Deadline: Thursday, March 7th, 2024

IEF Award: I almost want to say make this required as part of your application. Have an application essay that is the same as the IEF essay. We see so many students not apply to this. It is free money from UTSA: $500-$1500.

Honors College Planning Award (students need to be in Honors; come give a presentation to Honors about your program this month! I will advertise it to 200 1st year Honors students and give them event credit]. Honors is providing $60,000 this year in study abroad scholarships, ranging from $1,000-$3,000.

Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society Study Abroad Award (do not need to be member of PKP). Must have 3.7 or above. Award up to $1000

COLFA Experiential Learning Award: $500. COLFA Majors Only
Program Activties
A. Language classes
B. Indoor and outdoor activities
C. Activities with Korean Student buddy
D. Field trips:
• Visiting Lotte World
• Visiting Hangeul Museum
• Han River Cruise Tour
• Visiting Kimchi Museum
E. Transportation:
• Pick-up & drop service to and from airport
• Transportation to all trips (except your own activities with Korean students)
