2025 Kimchi Festival
김치축제

UT San Antonio's 2025 Kimchi Festival was a great success! With thousands of people attending, many got to experience Korean culture by participating in over 20 activities such as playing traditional Korean games like Jegi-chagi, watching traditional Korean dance performances, K-Pop dance performances performed by dancers from Chosun University in Korea, and trying on traditional Korean clothing known as Hanbok. Many festival-goers who were interested in learning Korean also stopped by the Korean program booth where you could learn about the classes offered here at UT San Antonio. We also had guests from our sister city Gwangju come visit and help teach festival-goers about Korean culture. After going through the festival, many festival-goers indulged in many Korean dishes like Kimchi, Bulgogi, and Japchae. Once the festival had ended, the dancers from Chosun University taught a K-Pop Dance Workshop for anyone who is interested in K-Pop and dance. This year's Kimchi Festival was a ton of fun and we hope to see you at next year's festival!
